Though we've been named Big Sur Bakery & Restaurant since our inception, everyone here calls us The Bakery.

Locals often say,
“I just came off the ranch to get something from the Bakery”;
Neighbors call out,
“I’m heading down the hill—need anything from the Bakery?”

As much as it's a place to get something great to eat, the Bakery is an essential hub of life for our peculiar and reclusive community.

When we started showcasing our goods online, it seemed natural to refer to ourselves as we're known in these parts.
